Effect of compost with banana peel and Moringa leaf powders on seed yield and yield components of green gram (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek)

The one-factor experiment was carried out in 2019-2020 at the University farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Eastern University, Sri Lanka to study effect compost with banana peel and Moringa leaf powders on seed yield crop residue green gram (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek). It laid a complete randomized design eight replicates following treatments: T1 - control (100 g alone), T2 100 + 9 peel, T3 6 3 leaf, T4 4.5 T5 T6 powder per polybag (0.07 m2). results showed that application (T4) produced remarkable changes number pods plant, pod weight than other treatments. At harvest, treatment had highest value (1,587.1 kg/ha) yield, gave lowest (906.1 kg/ha). present suggests (equivalent 14.3 t/ha) 1.3 1:1 (w/w) ratio would result optimum sandy regosol. combined locally available could be used for increasing less environmental impact.
